The library reads through 20 of the books that were removed, buried or condemned — the Apocrypha still in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles, 1 Enoch and Jubilees which remain scripture in Ethiopia, the Gnostic gospels dug out of the Egyptian sand in 1945, and the New Testament apocrypha. For every book: what it says section by section, 16 to 24 verbatim quotations, who still holds it as scripture, and why it is not in most Bibles.
