Pick a session length — the free 25/5 pomodoro, or 50/10, 90/15 and your own on Premium — pick one of four instrumental study sounds (lofi, ambient, rain, instrumental), and press DROP IN. Your last choice is remembered, so the next study session starts in three taps. HOW A SESSION RUNS A session is a chain of focus blocks with a break between them, the way a pomodoro timer works. The study timer counts down a block, a soft chime marks the boundary, and the break timer takes over while the music dips — so you can look away from the screen and still know where you are. Every fourth block earns a longer break. You can turn the chime off in Settings. The music keeps playing across the breaks, so a 25/5 session is thirty continuous minutes of sound and a 50/10 session is sixty. A long study session stops itself after a few hours rather than running all night, and you choose whether that is one, two or four hours. THE FREE TIER IS NOT A TRIAL A full focus session every day, reset at midnight, no card asked for — and it runs to the end, it is never cut short. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO, HONESTLY There is no music download — the four bundled sounds play without a connection, and everything else streams. The library is small next to a streaming service.
