Insulin Calculator is a simple tool designed to help people who manually calculate mealtime insulin doses work through the math more easily. You enter your own settings (target glucose, correction factor, carb ratio, insulin action time) as provided by your healthcare team, and the app helps estimate bolus doses and insulin on board (IOB). This app does not replace medical judgment, diabetes education, or professional devices such as insulin pumps or CGMs. What you can do with Insulin Calculator • Calculate estimated meal insulin based on total carbs and your carb ratio • Calculate estimated correction insulin based on current glucose, target glucose, and your correction factor • Combine meal and correction doses into a single estimated total insulin amount • Track insulin on board (IOB) using a user-selected duration of insulin action (DIA) • Create multiple “calculator profiles” (for different times of day or different routines) • View and edit previously saved dosages in a simple log • Adjust IOB duration in half-hour steps (for example 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 hours, etc.) • Turn IOB adjustment on or off when calculating a dose • Choose a rounding preference for the final dose only: – No rounding (2 decimal places) – Round to the nearest half unit (e.g., 2.24 → 2.0, 2.26 → 2.5, 2.75 → 3.0) – Round to the nearest whole unit (e.g., 2.4 → 2, 2.5 → 3) • Set reminders for insulin, refills, CGM, pump tasks and other diabetes-related tasks • Customize reminder schedules by specific weekdays or “every X days” • See countdowns to the next reminder and easily snooze or dismiss notifications • Customize calculator colors and names to match your preferences • Watch in-app help videos that explain how to set up and use the calculator Important notes about safety and use • This app does not choose your settings. It assumes a fixed duration of insulin action and does not adjust for exercise, recent activity, illness, injection site, or other factors. • Rounding options are provided for convenience only. If you are unsure how you should round your dose (for example, whole units vs half units), ask your healthcare provider what is appropriate for you and your insulin delivery device. • This app does not connect to insulin pumps, pens, CGMs or meters, and does not automatically read or send any medical data.
