ZhuiZhui Offline Maps is a hiking and running app built for trail runners and mountain hikers who need to work completely offline.
【Offline Maps, No Internet Required】
Supports Taiwan's LuMap and OpenAndroMaps overseas map data — download before you go, and it works with zero signal in the mountains or abroad. Taiwan map data includes Taiwan's 100 Peaks, triangulation points (graded 1st–3rd class), mountain huts, water sources, trail difficulty (sac_scale), trail visibility (trail_visibility), and rope/ladder assist markers. All symbols use a color-blind-friendly design that never relies on color alone.
【Trail Closure Info (Taiwan only)】
Integrates open data from Taiwan's Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency "Trail Status" dataset. Check closures, partial closures, and expected reopening dates for trails across Taiwan before you head out — this feature currently covers Taiwan trails only.
【Weather & Tides】
Tap the weather icon on the map for real-time rainfall forecasts, current conditions, and a 3-day forecast for your location. Coastal routes also show nearby tide station data.
【Clear Elevation Contours】
Major and intermediate contour lines are labeled with elevation in meters, so terrain changes are easy to read at a glance.
【Mountaineering Compass】
A built-in compass in the bottom-right of the map rotates its dial with magnetic north and labels the cardinal directions, with a fixed heading arrow in the center showing which way you're currently facing — works just like a real analog mountaineering compass, no separate compass needed.
【Dual Mode Tracking: Run & Hike】
See time, distance, elevation gain/loss, and waypoint count in real time. Auto-pauses after 3 seconds of no movement to keep distance and pace accurate. Pause anytime and mark waypoints with notes.
【Group Tracking】
Enter a group name to create or join a group — members' live locations appear on the same map. Multi-day traverses automatically stitch each member's daily tracks into one continuous route.
【Live Location Sharing — Built for Your Emergency Contact】
Turn on live sharing and your hiking location uploads periodically to a personal link. Family and friends don't need to install the app or sign in — they just open the link to see your current position and full route, even after your activity ends. If a member hasn't moved and hasn't ended their activity for over 6 hours, an alert badge appears for group members and your emergency contact so they can spot the issue immediately.
【Overlay & Compare Reference Routes】
Overlay multiple saved routes on the map at once — great for route planning, comparing past hikes, or checking you haven't strayed off trail mid-recording.
【Off-Route Alert】
While hiking, if you stray too far from your loaded reference route, you'll get a sound and vibration alert so you notice before you've gone too far off course. The distance threshold is adjustable, and you can toggle it anytime from the map tab or Settings — easy to catch even with your phone stowed away in your pack.
【Complete Activity Stats】
Automatically calculates pace, split pace, and elevation gain/loss, with an elevation profile chart. Run and hike modes each show tailored data cards. Personal records are bucketed by 1km/5km/10km/half marathon/full marathon best pace, an activity heatmap calendar shows your workout frequency at a glance, and your activity list is searchable and manageable.
【Import & Export】
Import GPX, KML, and KMZ track files. Export your recorded routes as standard GPX files to share or use elsewhere.
【Bilingual Interface】
Switch between Traditional Chinese and English.
