1964 Fender Jazz Bass Sonic Blue Very cool 1964 Jazz Bass thats been refinished Sonic Blue over its original finish of Sonic Blue. The original paint can still be seen in all the cavities and neck pocket. It weighs in at a hair over 9 lbs with its covers on and features a green nitrate guard confirming its original custom colour status. The neck lacquer is original but the logo has been replaced. The original frets do show some wear but it plays nicely enough as is. There are some indentations against the neck side dot markers as if someone wanted to make the dots more visible which is a common problem with aged clay side dots that end up being the same colour as the maple neck and become largely invisible. The neck is dated February 1964 and the pots 22nd week of 1964, the bridge pickup gives a resistance reading of 7.8k ohms and the neck 7.7k ohms. The guitar is completely original in parts and hardware making for an excellent player grade pre CBS Fender Bass.
