Octopus | Hi-Fi Music Player App-Analysen für 6. Oktober

Built natively for Apple Silicon. No middleware. No streaming. No accounts. No compromises. Bring your own library; let the hardware do what it always could. Zero ads. Zero subscriptions. Zero logins. Zero in-app purchases. Pay once. Own it forever. FOR EVERYONE Play every format that matters. Octopus scans and organises your library instantly, however large or chaotic. Lossless: FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF and more. Lossy: AAC, MP3, M4A and more. FOR THE ARCHIVIST Browse your library by its real on-disk folder structure — drill into subfolders, play anything, and send a single file or a whole folder to the queue or a playlist. FOR THE PURIST Your tracks, exactly as mastered. A bare-metal DSP engine and true bypass signal path deliver absolute integrity, file to ear. Nothing added, nothing taken away. Gapless playback keeps albums and sets seamless. Feeding a USB DAC? True bypass hands it the clean signal straight off the file. FOR THE PERFECTIONIST Sculpt your soundstage with a battle-style 3-band EQ — pure native DSP, full frequency control, zero latency. FOR THE BOLD Two studio-grade FX engines, live on the signal path: Rave FX — A tribute to French House. Legacy-grade compression, room presence, massive punch. Punk FX — Raw, driven, and unforgiving. Built for the records that were never meant to be polished. FOR THE EXPLORER A genre intelligence engine runs entirely on-device — no internet, ever. Every track is auto-classified by a three-tier engine — metadata, a curated alias map, and a hand-built artist dictionary thousands of entries deep. A library that organises itself. FOR THE SEEKER Meet the Artist Discovery Agent — a completely offline, hand-curated catalogue. Surf genres and sub-genres. As tracks play, it surfaces recommendations in the same style. Zero APIs. Zero server pings. Pure discovery. FOR THE CURATOR Build playlists the way you think about music. Drag, reorder, add whole albums or genres in one move. Stored locally, instantly offline. FOR THE NOMAD A native C++ crossfeed kernel — the classic Bauer/Chu Moy topology — recreates the interaural delay and head-shadow your ears expect — studio monitors inside your headphones. FOR THE EXPERIENCE Feel the hardware. An interface rooted in industrial design — Nixie tubes, hardware-calibrated VU meters, a mechanical ticker, a custom cassette deck. An analogue soul wrapped in digital metal. WAVEFORM — Watch your tracks breathe through a high-frequency spatialized audiograph. FERROFLUID — A live-rendering, turbo-fps GPU audio sculpture, forged in real time on bare metal. Your iPhone was always an audio rocket. This is the fuel. THE HARDWARE ECOSYSTEM An iPhone-first powerhouse that extends across your entire Apple grid. Apple Watch: Your wrist is the remote. Leave the iPhone at the amp — browse playlists, run your queue, drive the engine — live waveform and all. Watch Complications: Build a gorgeous music-lover's watch face — now-playing complications in every shape, track and live progress on the dial. CarPlay: The ultimate road-trip interface — full, unrestricted access to your entire offline library on your dash. Siri & Shortcuts: Run the rig by voice — "Play Daft Punk on Octopus," "Play some techno on Octopus." The engine knobs — EQ, Rave, Punk, volume — live as Shortcuts actions, ready for your automations. iPadOS & macOS: No stretched-out ports — a dedicated studio console for the big screen, native on Apple Silicon Macs. Home Screen & Lock Screen Widgets: Hijack your glass with high-contrast, always-on widgets — living audiograph, loudness meter, Fibonacci ribbon, now-playing in every size. Dynamic Island & Live Activities: A living waveform and transport controls in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen — no app required. UNTHROTTLED VIDEO A hidden, fully unthrottled video engine on Apple's native foundation. Drop in MP4, MOV, or M4V — pure hardware-accelerated playback, same bare-metal philosophy as the audio.
