It takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your device. If any of them isn't met, what you measure isn't your hearing. ABOUT ACCURACY — SAID PLAINLY This app is not acoustically calibrated, so treat the absolute numbers as rough. What you can trust is the shape of the curve — which frequencies are relatively weaker — and the change between repeated tests, because systematic error cancels out in the difference. If you can get a trustworthy measured audiogram (Apple's Hearing Test with AirPods Pro, for example), the app can use it to pin down its zero point. ABOUT PRIVACY This app never goes online. Its code contains no networking capability at all. No personal information, no device identifiers, no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, no account. Your test records stay on this device. HEARING PROTECTION Includes safe-listening guidance based on the WHO-ITU H.870 standard: 40 hours a week at 80 dBA, but only about 4 hours at 90 dBA — a few notches on the volume key, and the weekly allowance drops tenfold.
