Sad news. Beautiful SSBTR dog, Storm, went to sleep for the final time last week. Storm was a very pretty and loving wee girl. But she was very reactive to other dogs and was scared of men and groups of people. The poor girl just didn’t seem to catch a break and find her person who would love her for who she was. Storm ended up in kennels but was lucky enough to get a place on the Paws for Progress programme. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s an a amazing scheme and you can check them out here. https://pawsforprogress.co.uk/. Storm passed the programme with flying colours and found herself waiting on a home. Being a middle aged lady, it was so much harder for her and she kept being overlooked for younger dogs who were deemed ‘easier’. Storm landed on all four paws when we found Nicola who took her home and gave her an amazing life. Before long, Storm, the wee girl who came to us disliking other dogs, men and groups was off camping with other dogs and groups of bikers! With patience and love, wee Storm overcame her demons. Storm clearly thrived with Nicolas care and we will be eternally grateful to Nicola for all she did for Storm. Storm was one lucky little lady! Night night wee girl and run free with your friends at the bridge. Thinking of you Nicola and sending much love ❤️
