 A rare occasion to aquire this showstopping gown from the Victorian Dressmaker volume 3 book! A sumptous gown wiht a long train, in moire and lace - suitable for a ball , opera or a formal dinner.  Used once for a ball photoshoot and once for a short video,  there is slight dusting on the ruffles at the hem and on the ttrain priotective inside - so price is now discounted!  Details: * bodice andskirt  are made in yellow silk moire ( watered silk) (8m went into it... very rare fabric!)    * A fitted bodice in  lined throughout with cotton, decorated with cotton  Cluny lace *The bodice is boned with original Victorian antique bodice stays, and the inside finish is by machine * The bodice closes with lacing, the eyelets are made by hand.    The skirt  is flatlined with cotton,  trained, designed to be worn over a specific bustle cage ( the one used here is also available as a made to order item) and 1- 2 petticoats * the skirt sports a deep flounce with additional decoration  and applied cluny lace *  the hem is protected by an additional deep facing in cotton * faux fabric roses decoration on both bodice and skirt ( can be removed easily)  * The overskirt is made in lace * a decorative silk bow in contrtasting colour is attatched to the skirt too.  the skirt has a train loop and the train buttons up for dancing    A new bespoke  gown in this style would start from £2000 plus fabircs.      Sizing  bodice closes at : chest: 40"(102cm)  waist: 30"  (77cm).  side length, armpit to waist. 7.5" (19cm)   Lacing at the back means it can be worn laced loosely  over a modesty panel ( not included)  skirt length in front - 40" ( 100cm), waistband close at 30" (77cm)  with hooks and bars, these can be moved in or out by aanother 2 inches.   Would best suit a tall, curvy, corset
