Qawlat brings Quran reading, search, and study together in an Arabic interface designed for iPhone and iPad.
Read a passage, explore its words and roots, and follow connections across the Quran. Qawlat links its study materials to supporting verses so you can examine the evidence and reflect on the text.
READ THE QURAN
• Choose from three reading modes.
• Press and hold a word to open its details, or a verse number to explore its meaning.
• Search within the current surah or across the Quran.
• Save your reading position and favorite passages.
• On iPad, view word and verse details beside the text and adjust the panel width.
SEARCH AND EXPLORE
Search for words, phrases, or Arabic roots. Explore word forms and their distribution across surahs, view the surrounding verse context, and jump directly to a passage in the reader.
ASK QAWLAT
Type your question the way you would say it — "What is the difference between khawf and khashya?", "What is the opposite of sabr?", "Ayat al-Kursi", "What does the Quran say about riba?" — and the app gathers the answer from its own study materials: the summary, the details, supporting verses and related topics, with a link to every source. Works offline, except a verse’s meaning the first time.
STUDY THE CONNECTIONS
• Roots: definitions, word forms, occurrences, supporting passages, and semantic relationships.
• Word forms: meanings explored in their Quranic contexts.
• Topics: collections of verses organized by subject.
• Semantic fields: connections between related roots.
• Antonyms: pairs of opposing roots and their complements as the text draws them, each with its evidence and analysis.
• Surahs: observations, prominent roots, central verses, and the surah’s argument, with convenient navigation between study sections.
MAKE READING COMFORTABLE
• An Arabic interface with right-to-left navigation.
• Light, dark, or system appearance.
• Adjustable interface text size.
• Saved preferences and restoration of your last opened tab.
• Favorites for verses, roots, and word forms.
OUR APPROACH
Qawlat’s studies draw on the Quran’s own text, occurrences, and internal statistics. Supporting passages accompany the analysis to help you examine connections for yourself.
CONNECTIVITY AND PRIVACY
The Quran text and core data are included locally. Some study materials require an internet connection; retrieved materials are cached to make returning to them faster. No account is required, and your preferences are stored on your device.
