Because day and night are each divided into six parts, a daytime koku is longer in summer, while a nighttime koku is longer in winter. Enjoy a sense of time shaped by the sun and daily life, unlike the modern 24-hour clock, through a dial inspired by traditional Japanese perpetual clocks.
