Read comics in the language you think in. Manhwa Translation puts a translate button under every page you read. Tap it, and the speech bubbles on screen are replaced with text you can read — without leaving the page, and without sending a thing to a server. EVERYTHING HAPPENS ON YOUR IPHONE Text recognition uses Apple's Vision framework. Translation uses Apple's on-device Translation models. Neither one needs a network connection, and neither one uploads the page you are reading. Once a language pack is installed, the whole thing works in airplane mode. That is not a privacy promise we are asking you to take on faith. There is no server to send comic pages to. HOW IT WORKS Open a site in the built-in browser, or paste a link. Read until you hit a page you cannot. Tap Translate Screen. The translation appears over the original bubbles. Tap any bubble to see the original text beside the translation, or to correct it. 18 LANGUAGES English, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Thai and Indonesian — as both source and target. IT LEARNS THE STORY YOU ARE READING Translation software gets names wrong. When it does, fix the line yourself and choose Save & Remember. The next time that line comes up — the next chapter, next week — your wording is used instead. You can also teach it a glossary: a character's name, a place, a technique, spelled the way you want it every time. Both are kept per story, so a correction in one comic never bleeds into another. One token is one translated speech bubble. Every 50 translations, a short rewarded video keeps you going. Niio Premium removes the ads entirely and raises the daily allowance to 50,000 tokens. Premium readers can also buy 50,000-token packs that never expire and are only spent once the daily allowance runs out. You do not need an account to read and translate. Signing in with Apple is only needed to buy anything, and it is what keeps your balance attached to you rather than to one iPhone. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. BEFORE YOU START Apple's translation models are downloaded by iOS, not by this app. The first time you translate from a language, iOS will offer to install it. If that prompt does not appear, you can install language packs yourself in Settings > Apps > Translate > Downloaded Languages. SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS Niio Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or annually. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
