ΘΕΑΤΡΟ Ο Ντενί Ντιντερό, ήδη γνωστός από την έκδοση της πρώτης εγκυκλοπαίδειας, γύρω στα 1770 έγραψε μία πραγματεία περί ηθοποιού, που όμως δεν εκδόθηκε παρά μόνο μετά το θάνατο του με τον τίτλο το παράδοξο γύρω απ’ τον ηθοποιό. Η πραγματεία αυτή είχε περάσει σχεδόν απαρατήρητη όταν στα 1880 ο διάσημος ηθοποιός, Κωνσταντίνος Κοκλέν την ξαναέφερε στην επικαιρότητα αναλαμβάνοντας να την υπερασπιστεί χωρίς κανείς να της έχει επιτεθεί. Το βιβλίο αυτό στάθηκε η πέτρα σκανδάλου και ξεκίνησε ένας φοβερός χαρτοπόλεμος με βιβλία, άρθρα, νέες θεωρίες, μεθόδους, συστήματα, πρακτικές ο οποίος και κρατάει έως τις μέρες μας. Τι είναι το ταλέντο; Διερωτάται ο Ντιντερό.
