Understand what is taking space inside a folder before you decide what to keep, move, or review. Storage Analyzer Large Files uses Android’s system folder picker. You choose the exact folder the app may inspect; the analyzer then reads visible file metadata locally and sorts files by size. CHOOSE A FOLDER • Grant access through Android’s Storage Access Framework • Avoid the broad Manage all files permission • Analyze only the folder you select SEE STORAGE BY TYPE • Images • Video • Audio • Documents • Archives • Other file types FIND LARGE FILES • Sort visible files from largest to smallest • See the filename, reported size, and MIME type • Open a selected item with a compatible Android app • Review results before changing anything LOCAL AND USER-CONTROLLED Folder names, filenames, sizes, and scan results are processed on your device. The core analyzer does not upload a file list, require an account, delete items automatically, or scan outside the folder permission you provide. The app includes advertising; advertising-related device identifiers are disclosed separately in Google Play Data safety. HONEST LIMITS Results depend on what Android and the selected document provider expose. Protected files, app-private storage, cloud placeholders, or unknown file sizes may not appear. A scan stops after 5,000 visible files to keep the session responsive. Reported totals are an analysis of the selected folder, not a promise to represent every byte used by the device. Use Storage Analyzer Large Files when a downloads folder, camera export, shared drive, or project directory has become difficult to understand.
