Crestmont School is the Bay Area’s only parent cooperative elementary school. Located in the hills of Richmond, California, our school was founded in 1969 by a group of parents with the goals of creating an environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, community spirit and academic excellence for children of all backgrounds. This essence is still alive today in our children’s enthusiasm for learning, kindness and curiosity of life.Until now Crestmont has rented the same space it began in, 45+ years ago. We have always made the best of a tight situation but in order to sustain our school’s future we need more space and we plan to offer a K-8 model. We have found a wonderful property to purchase around the corner but we need your help! We plan to put up portables for the first few years while we design and build structures that are sustainably sourced, using recycled and repurposed materials. This campaign is our Phase 1 Fundraising effort towards building Crestmont's forever home and we are excited for you to be a part of it! Our goal is to solidify the school’s future as a community resource for years to come. Please honor the past, present and future of Crestmont by making a donation today.
