The identifier covers the mushrooms people actually meet — chanterelle, porcini, morel, oyster mushroom, field mushroom, puffball, shaggy ink cap, honey fungus and hundreds more — and it flags the poisonous ones, including death cap, destroying angel, fly agaric, false morel, jack-o'-lantern and false chanterelle. HOW IT WORKS 1. Photograph the mushroom, or pick an image from your gallery. 2. The AI analyses the photo and proposes a possible species. 3. Read the name, the description and the edibility category. 4. Check similar species and read the safety warnings. For a more accurate result, photograph the whole mushroom in good light. Show the cap, its underside, the stem and the base of the stem. A single photo may not reveal every feature needed for identification — spore colour, smell and habitat all matter.
