The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49 μT (microtesla) or 490 mG (milligauss); 1 μT = 10 mG. If any metal is nearby, the value of the magnetic field will increase. Metal Detector allows you to identify any metal object in the area because all metals generate a magnetic field whose strength can be measured with this tool. The usage is simple: launch this app on your mobile device and move it around. You will see that the magnetic field level shown on the screen is constantly fluctuating. Colorful lines represent the three dimensions and the numbers on top show the value of the magnetic field level (EMF). The chart will increase, and the device will vibrate and make sounds, announcing that metal is close. You can change the sensitivity of vibration and sound effects in the settings. You might use the Metal Detector to find electrical wires in walls (like a stud finder), iron pipes on the ground... or pretend it's a ghost detector and scare someone!
