Take back control of your time with Digital Mindfulness — the app blocker designed for people who are serious about building healthier digital habits. Unlike other screen time tools, Digital Mindfulness is built around a simple but powerful idea: a guided restriction is always more effective than an unguided, unmonitored journey. Ask someone you trust — a parent, partner, or friend — to set your password, so the rules you set today stay in place when temptation strikes tomorrow. ────────────────────────────── HOW IT WORKS ────────────────────────────── 1. Set your restriction hours — the time window when distracting apps should be blocked (e.g. 10 PM – 7 AM, or during work hours). 2. Choose your allowed apps — only the apps you genuinely need stay accessible (calls, maps, banking, etc.). 3. Enable enforcement — the app monitors app usage in the background and immediately redirects you away from blocked apps. 4. Let someone you trust hold the password — settings changes require a password, so your goals stay protected. ────────────────────────────── KEY FEATURES ────────────────────────────── ★ Schedule-based app blocking — automatically enforces limits during your chosen hours every single day. ★ Fully customisable allowed list — you decide which apps stay available; everything else gets blocked. ★ Password-protected settings — changes to your allowed apps, restriction times, or enforcement status require a password. Ask a trusted person to set it for you for maximum accountability. ★ Tamper-resistant — the app detects force-close attempts and suspicious patterns to keep your commitment intact. ★ Clean & distraction-free UI — no usage stats, no streaks, no gamification. Just a simple tool that does one thing well. ★ Works offline — no account needed, no data leaves your device. Everything is stored locally. ────────────────────────────── WHO IS THIS FOR? ────────────────────────────── → Students who need to focus during study hours → Anyone trying to reduce late-night doom-scrolling → People in digital detox programmes → Parents setting up a phone for themselves with accountability → Anyone who has tried and failed with willpower alone ────────────────────────────── PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED ────────────────────────────── • Accessibility Service — required to detect when a blocked app is opened and redirect you away from it. This is the core blocking mechanism. • Query All Packages — required to list installed apps so you can choose your allowed list. No personal data is collected. No internet permission is used. ────────────────────────────── A NOTE ON PHILOSOPHY ────────────────────────────── Digital Mindfulness doesn't lecture you about screen time or show you depressing usage graphs. It simply enforces the boundaries you set — and keeps enforcing them even when you don't want it to. That's the point. Start your guided journey today.
