A wonderful Georgian-era ring, modeled in 14k rosy yellow gold and silver, whose face takes the form of a highly-dimensional, stemmed flower, its six petals, center, and leaves set with chunky, old mine cut diamonds. This flower has a silver top— it rests between the split shoulders of the gold ring shank, where it is flanked by a pair of smaller old mine cut diamonds. The ring's shank has a shapely profile. It's shoulders are engraved with floral details, including a pair of sweet rosettes, while the back half of the shank is fluted. This giardinetti ring is a rarity. It is low-profile and it looks beautiful on the hand. We love the textured, typically-Georgian details that decorate the ring shank, the beautiful "outlined" quality of the flower itself, and the chunky old mine cuts that adorn it! Because these diamonds did not need foiling (they reflect light well), the backsides of their settings were left open. The center diamond is set in a cut down collet; the surrounding diamonds are set into the channels of the flower where they are secured with small prongs.
