The annual ABC Holiday Shopping Experience continues to just get bigger and better every year. This year with the support of the Walmart Supercenter (Middlebelt/Plymouth), their AWESOME staff, our GENEROUS business partners and well over 200 volunteers (staff, friends and family) we were able to provide over 325 students with a very Merry Christmas. It was a wonderful time for both the students and adults alike. Upon arriving at the store the students were greeted by their chaperone, given a quick bite to eat and then directed to the “North Pole” for a photo op with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Then it was time to shop until they dropped. The adults helped the student shop for items that were both needed and wanted. As they headed to the checkout carts were overflowing with baby dolls, action figures, remote control cars, Barbie’s, games, DVD’s, pajamas, underwear and clothing items. You can see from the smiles on their faces this shopping experience made Christmas for these students a little brighter.
