SLOT ME IN™ cooking trivets are a versatile and handy cookware accessory especially when combined with a camp oven for roasting meats and vegetables or baking breads, cakes, scones or damper to name just a few. Our trivets are made from a single piece of 4mm thick BlueScope™ Xlerplate Tru-Spec™ steel, precision laser cut with legs folded at 90 ͦ. They come in varying external diameters, (currently 8 sizes, 150mm, 175mm, 200mm, 230mm, 250mm, 290mm, 330mm and 375mm) to suit most camp ovens. The 4 legs are 30mm in height and there are sufficient aeration holes in each trivet to allow for superb cooking results in keeping your cook up in the camp oven off the internal base so as not to burn it and allowing for even heat flow distribution under the cook up. You simply won’t find a better cooking trivet anywhere, with ours being made right here in Australia with 100% Aussie material as well. All SLOT ME IN™ Xlerplate™ Tru-Spec™ steel trivets come in a “raw” metal finish with a coat of protective edible (rice bran oil) factory applied. A simple wipe with paper towel or dry cotton cloth with some rice bran oil or other similar edible food oil applied after purchase and a moderate preheat of the new trivet in a camp oven or similar (eg: hooded bbq or oven) for about an hour then removing it and allowing it to cool is all that is required prior to its first use. When finished cooking with and letting it cool down, wipe off any excess food with paper towel. Stubborn food scraps can be scrapped off with a bbq scraper or similar. Wash only with warm to hot water if required (using no soaps or detergents which can lift or strip the seasoning off). Dry the trivet immediately after washing and apply ano
