The direct food distribution model began during the COVID-19 pandemic when large numbers of households needed food quickly and safely. We work with host sites to provide large scale distributions of food from a Regional Food Bank truck directly to our neighbors in need. Although we have scaled back the number of these distributions, we continue to offer them in areas that lack sufficient pantry capacity to meet neighbors’ food needs.
