Boveda Humidor Seasoning Kits are the easiest and most ideal way to get your brand new humidor up to speed. When your humidifier shows 68% you are ready to go. Remove the Seasoning Pack(s), recharge your humidifier and add your cigars.It's that simple! There is a simple formula to determine how may Boveda Packs you require. You will need one Pack for the Humidor itself and then one pack for every 50 cigars of capacity. So if you have a humidor that holds 40 cigars, use 2 packs. If your box holds 75 cigars, use 3 packs. 100 cigars, 3 packs. The same formula holds true when starting your humidor off with the seasoning packs. Dimensions: 5 1/4" x 3.5" (13 x 8.5cm) Choosing the right Boveda: 65%: Designed for Cuban cigars because Cuban cigars tend to mold at a higher RH level. Keep your Cuban cigars at or lower than 65%RH. This RH is also good for Dominican or Puro cigar due to personal preference or flavour profile. 69%: Designed for airtight humidors including but not exclusively for Boveda humidor bags, Boveda acrylic humidors, polymer travel humidor. Works well in high-end humidors including but not exclusively Elie Bleu and Daniel Marshall. 72%: Designed for most wood humidors. Wood humidors exchange moisture, it is not uncommon to see a decrease of 2–5%RH. The 72% accommodates the moisture loss allowing the humidor to maintain a high 60s RH level. We recommend the 72%RH as your first Boveda in your wooden humidor after seasoning. 75%: Designed for your inexpensive or glass top humidors. The 75% accommodates a high amount of moisture loss allowing the humidor to maintain a high 60s RH level. 84%: Designed ONLY for seasoning a wood humidor WITHOUT cigars in it. This formula is specifically designed to provide moisture directly to the cellular structure of the wood humidor. The amount of moisture required is greater than the wipe down of it. The invitation came courtesy of the UK distributors, Davidoff, and I knew this was going to be a trip to remember. Having previously completed a Plasencia training course at the Dakota Hotel in Manchester, I had already begun to understand the remarkable history of the Plasencia family and their cigars. During that session, I indulged in six of their cigars, an afternoon well spent! A Legacy of Excellence: The History of Plasencia Cigars The Plasencia family's journey in the cigar industry dates back to 1865 when Don Eduardo Plasencia emigrated from the Canary Islands to Cuba and began growing tobacco. Over the generations, the family built a reputation for excellence in cultivation and cigar production. After facing challenges during the Cuban Revolution, they relocated to Nicaragua, where they rebuilt their tobacco empire. In 1978 Policitcal turmoil then hit Nicaragua and the family and business had to relocate to Honduras.
