This year, our team has joined others throughout the country to raise funds and walk in the fight against kidney disease. On May 17, 2026, we will walk for our loved ones-  especially for our two-year-old daughter, Peyton, who has been bravely battling nephrotic syndrome since May 2025. Nephrotic syndrome is a rare kidney condition that causes the kidneys to leak large amounts of protein into the urine. This leads to swelling throughout the body, a weakened immune system, frequent infections, and the need for ongoing medications, lab work, and close medical care. There is currently no cure for nephrotic syndrome.  For a toddler, it is so hard to manage this. Despite it all, Peyton continues to show incredible strength, resilience, and joy. We walk for her, and for every child and family navigating the uncertainty of rare kidney disease. Together, we walk to support the lifechanging work of the National Kidney Foundation:      -To equip patients and families with knowledge, resources, and access to high-quality care.      -To advocate for policies that address disparities and prioritize health for all.      -To fund research and technology to advance early detection, improve treatment, and expand transplant access.
