The arms of the Malcolm family Lairds of Poltalloch. c.1820 27.5mm high, 13.6 grams Provenance; part of the remaining contents of Poltalloch House, Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland. Poltalloch was the family seat from the late 18th century, the house was rebuilt at great expense in 1830 by the 12th Laird. The family later moved to one of their other homes, Duntrune Castle and Poltalloch was left unkept, it was in a ruinous state by the 1950's and is now just a shell.
