100%Phormingochilus sp. “Sabah Blue” Phormingochilus sp. “Sabah Blue” is one of the most visually striking arboreal tarantulas from Borneo. As this species matures, it develops deep velvet tones with subtle bluish hues that really pop under good lighting. It’s fast, alert, and loves vertical cork bark retreats where it can web up a secure hide. For experienced keepers who appreciate rare Old World arboreals, this species is a true standout. 📢 Special Notices I regularly post feeding videos, enclosure setups, and care tips for many tarantula species on my YouTube channel. If you want to see how I personally keep and feed my tarantulas, check it out here: ▶ Visit Urban Tarantulas on YouTube 🧰 Care Details 🌡️ Temperature 75–85°F (24–29°C). Warmer temperatures typically encourage faster growth because they molt more often. 💧 Humidity Around 75–80% inside the enclosure with good ventilation. Keep substrate slightly moist but never swampy. 🏠 Housing Babies Vial up to about 5" tall × 2" diameter with ventilation. FREE vial available at checkout if requested (not included otherwise). Juveniles Once past ~2", upgrade to a vertical enclosure around 7–8" tall with cork bark for climbing and webbing. Adults Adults thrive in a vertical enclosure around 12–16" tall with plenty of anchor points for webbing and a cork bark retreat. 🍽️ General Diet Crickets + roaches (Dubia, Red Runner, Lobster). Babies eat baby crickets or baby roaches. If prey is too large, simply pre-kill it (crush the head) and leave it for them. Always remove leftovers or bolus. For very large specimens, an occasional pinky mouse, hopper mouse, or feeder lizard can be offered very sparingly as a treat. Too much calcium can lead to constipation or pooping issues. We never use pinhead crickets because they do not provide enough protein. 📚 In-depth Facts 🕷️ Latin name Phormingochilus sp. “Sabah Blue” 📛 Common name(s) Sabah Blue Tarantula 🌡️ Temperature 75–85°F (24–29°C) 💧 Humidity Aro

97%Poecilotheria Subfusca Highland (Ivory Ornamental tarantula) A Beautiful Purple and Yellow Poecilotheria species! Poecilotheria Subfusca Highland, also known as the Ivory Ornamental, is one of the most sought-after species in the tarantula world. Renowned for its striking appearance, this tarantula boasts a deep black body adorned with vibrant purple and yellow ornaments that make it a true standout in any collection. Unlike most Poecilotheria species, the Poecilotheria Subfusca Highland stays on the smaller side, maxing out at around 6+ inches in diagonal leg span. This adaptation is due to the high elevations it inhabits in the wild. Interestingly, these cooler, higher altitudes have also contributed to the Ivory Ornamental’s slower and docile nature—making it unique among Poecilotheria. In fact, it’s the only species in the genus observed living communally in the wild! With that being said, keep Poecilotheria Subfusca Highland in an arboreal enclosure with vertical cork bark and lousily packed substrate! Most importantly, keep Poecilotheria Subfusca Highland (Ivory Ornamental) on the cooler side! I recommend temps of 68°F to 72°F! Due to the high elevations that the species comes from It is essential that you keep them in these cooler temps as they won’t be able to breed in a warmer climate! Experience level - Intermediate (Relaxed Poecilotheria species, but has potent venom) Personality - Chill, slow moving, docile and relaxed! (However there venom is still potent) Lifespan - 15+ years Growth rate - Slow to medium Adult size - 6.5 to 7+ inches Poecilotheria Subfusca Highland Care - Keep this tarantula in an arboreal enclosure with somewhat moist substrate! Add a vertical piece of cork bark so the spider has something to climb on and most importantly, keep this species cool! Temps shouldn’t surpass 75 degrees
