Nediljko Rimac, zajedno sa svojim saradnicima, obišao je Dom zdravlja Vareš, kako bi razgovarao o povećanom prisustvu olova u krvi kod određenog broja stanovnika s područja općine Vareš. Posjeta je organizirana s ciljem sagledavanja trenutne situacije, razmjene informacija i definiranja daljnjih koraka u cilju zaštite zdravlja građana.Sastanku su prisustvovali i direktor Zavoda za javno zdravstvo Federacije BiH prim.dr. Siniša Skočibušić, direktor Doma zdravlja Vareš dr. Ahmed Memić sa saradnicima, te kandidati za načelnika ove općine Igor Šimić I Malik Rizvanović.Ministar Rimac istakao je da će se uzorci krvi djece iz osnovnih škola s ovog područja poslati u Sarajevo, kako bi se izvršile detaljne analize prisustva teških metala u krvi. Naglasio je da je prioritet pravovremeno utvrditi obim problema i poduzeti adekvatne mjere zaštite stanovništva.Također je najavio da će o situaciji na području ove općine informirati i Vladu Federacije BiH, te da će Federalno ministarstvo zdravstva, u saradnji s relevantnim institucijama, nastaviti pratiti stanje na terenu.
