Date: 27.12.2024 PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release Involvement of m/v Oslo Carrier 3 in SAR operation with the m/v Ursa Major in distress in the Mediterranean Sea on 23.12.2024. The rescue operation was handled by the Maritime Rescue Coordinating Center in Cartagena – who is responsible for such operations in that area. MRCC ordered the Master not to take crew from vessel in distress on board as their rescue boat was on the way to the scene. In the meantime, the lifeboat was secured alongside our vessel until the rescue boat arrived. The weather was good, none of the crew in the lifeboat were injured and there was no imminent danger to them. Please find some pictures showing the operation.
