Surrey Top: Unlike many Surrey Tops on the market today, where the hard top insert is a reproduction Fiberglas top with a Plexiglas rear window; this car wears the original. Surrey hard top aluminum insert is 'from the factory', and sports its original 'glass' curved rear window. The window is near flawless regarding scuffs or scratches, and in my opinion looks 'new old stock'. This is a remarkably well-preserved and maintained vehicle. Side note: The black vinyl top insert, in place of the 'red hard top', is brand new. Overdrive: Factory installed Overdrive was rebuilt in October 2025 and road tested by me on multiple occasions and works great. The OD unit drops the RPM's by 22% at highway speeds, reducing the wear on the engine. British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate [BMIHT] records indicate that this TR4 was dispatched to a Triumph dealership in Houston, Texas on March 5th, 1963.
