instructor. designer. philosopher. as an administrator and trainer at a community college, i work with individual faculty, departments, and other staff and administration to ensure the overall quality of all online courses through instructional design and training, the development and implementation of policy; and the coordination of various resources to ensure student success. as an instructor, i strive to build a classroom environment that promotes student responsibility for their learning and engagement, using active learning techniques and other pedagogical practices and quality instructional design. as a philosopher, i study the impact of luck on theories of morality and how moral structures and understandings are organized around constructions of personal identity. my current project is an analysis of the problem and concept of moral luck.  i argue that the two need to be treated separately, as they describe different phenomena. curriculum vitae | [...]
