85%The Crucible Brass Bevel Monkey is an accurate way to set your sliding bevel to fractions of a degree with little trouble. The Brass Bevel Monkey is marked with degrees from 0° (vertical) to 50° off of vertical. There are half-degree markings between each major marking, making it easy to extrapolate to a quarter of a degree or less. The brass plate is engraved at Machine Time, which manufactures many of the Crucible products in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Then, the brass engravings are filled by hand with black wax in our facility in Covington, Kentucky. The result is a tool that has nice heft, is easy to use and will only get better with age. At 1/16'' (1.6mm) x 2-1/4''(57mm) x 11'' (279mm), the Brass Bevel Monkey is slightly smaller than the original Bevel Monkey, which was made from Trolase. Like many companies, Crucible are reducing the plastic they use in manufacturing. The results are a bit more expensive, but the resulting tools are more durable and attractive. The Brass Bevel Monkey comes with a hand-stamped kraft-paper envelope to store and protect the tool. The original Bevel Monkey was designed by Ed Sutton here in the U.K. The brass version was made with Ed’s approval, and he will continue to get the same royalties for this tool. If you deal with odd angles in the shop, the Brass Bevel Monkey is far more accurate than a protractor, and makes setting and checking angles easy and straightforward.

80%Good quality push blocks are an essential safety aid when guiding stock through table saws, planers and router tables to keep your fingers clear of the blades. These push blocks are constructed from impact resistant polycarbonate for strength and durability. The handles have been ergonomically designed for comfort and are angled at 30° so that they can be used with either left or right hand proficiently. The bases of the push blocks are fitted with high friction rubber pads, each featuring 72 individual oval shapes of varying sizes which grip the surface of the wood for precise control. The pads are non marring and can be used on finished workpieces. They are designed to ensure the workpiece does not slip away from the block when put under pressure as you are working. Each grip block measures 160mm x 80mm and they are sold in packs of 2. ©
