Reliable data for accurate calculations Routing can be computed using different wind forecast models such as GFS (updated four times per day) or ECMWF (updated two times per day), combined with ocean current data from the Copernicus system (updated daily). This data is automatically integrated into every route calculation without any manual action needed. Customize your boat You can select a "standard" boat based on its hull length and type (monohull or catamaran). This allows SailRouting to estimate your boat’s performance in a simple and practical way. You can also configure additional characteristics: ability to use downwind sails (spinnaker), minimum sailing speed, engine consumption, and more.
