Time Player is a cassette deck that lives in your phone. Turn audio you already have into a virtual cassette, drop it in, and press the red key. The reels wind in real time, the transport clunks, the tape hisses, and there is a three-second lead-in before the music starts. A tape holds six tracks per side — twelve in all — because that is what a tape holds. When side A runs out, you flip it. Every tape remembers where you stopped. Swap one out, come back later, and it picks up on the same track, at the same second. MAKE YOUR OWN TAPES Add audio from the Files app, name the tape, pick a shell and a cover, and save. Your tape becomes a .tctape file you can keep, back up, or hand to someone else. CHANGE THE MACHINE Themes change the whole body — the panel, the keys, the switches. Two are built in, and you can install more. COMPLETELY OFFLINE No account. No sign-in. No ads. No in-app purchases. No analytics. The app makes no network requests at all and collects nothing. Everything stays on your device. A note on music: Time Player ships no music of its own, apart from a spoken introduction tape. It plays audio files you already have.
