ChronoMap traces human history on a single world map and a single timeline. Move through time and the political map redraws itself, with events surfacing right where they happened. What was happening in China — or Japan — while Islam was spreading across the world? You can see it at a glance. ■ An animated atlas of 30,000 years 69 historical maps from 28,000 BC to the present. Press play and borders shift and flow. Switch between linear and logarithmic time scales to take in all thirty millennia at once. ■ 2,794 events and people, every one explained Every entry has a description, and major events have long-form commentary. Causes and consequences are linked, so one lookup leads naturally to the next. About 9,300 entries in total. ■ 52 narrated stories A thousand years of Rome, the Mongols, the Age of Exploration, the Onin War, the fall of the shogunate, the history of philosophy, the history of money, and a 16-volume story of Western art (584 works). The map flies to each scene, campaign routes extend, and borders change as chapters advance. Text-to-speech narration is supported. ■ Blank-map quizzes and drills Fill in a blank map: 195 countries with flags and capitals, Japan's 47 prefectures, 70 ritsuryo provinces, and historical maps from 500 BC to 1920. Drills for history, geography, and ethics offer year-entry and multiple-choice questions, filtered by era, region, and scope (favorites / missed questions). ■ Empires rising and falling Napoleon's France, the Japanese Empire. Guess how far the empire reaches next, tap the map, and watch the animated answer. ■ Relationship trees Eight themes — science, Western art, revolutions and nation-states, philosophy, Chinese history, Japanese history, the Islamic world, medieval Europe — laid out as chronological trees of people and events. ■ Collect cards, then review Answer quizzes correctly to collect event cards. Collected cards enter a spaced-repetition review queue (1 day → 3 days → a week → ...), with an optional daily reminder. ■ Geography built in Köppen climate zones, climographs for 80 cities, descriptions of the world's states and provinces, major rivers and landforms. ■ Search by place Type a place name and about 13,000 places match — cities, countries, regions, mountains, rivers, and historical states. Pick a city to see every power that ruled that spot through history (Paris: Rome → Francia → ... → France) and all events that happened there, across all eras. ■ Fully offline All data is bundled. Every feature works in airplane mode, from the first launch. ■ Japanese and English The entire app switches between Japanese and English with one tap. ■ Easy to trust - No ads, no in-app purchases, no account required - Your study records stay on your device and are never uploaded - No cookies, no identifiers * Historical borders and dates are simplified approximations for learning. Disputed regions and poorly documented eras are especially simplified. * Base map: Natural Earth / Historical borders: simplified from historical-basemaps (GPL-3.0) / Portraits and images: Wikipedia
