Yasaman en haar moeder deelden samen op Internationale Vrouwendag 2019 witte bloemen uit in de metro aan vrouwelijke passagiers. Ze droeg daarbij geen hoofddoek. Een video van haar actie ging viraal. Niet veel later werden ze gearresteerd. Dank aan al wie een brief schreef, een petitie ondertekende, een gift deed, bloemen vouwde of op een andere manier van zich liet horen voor de vrijlating van Yasaman. 11 113 mensen ondertekenden onze petitie Jullie schreven duizenden brieven tijdens Amnesty’s Schrijfmarathon Meer dan 1 603 schenkers steunden onze campagne voor Yasaman, Monireh en andere mensenrechtenverdedigers met minstens één gift We kregen een tiental foto’s doorgestuurd van papieren bloemen die gevouwen werden voor de vrijheid van Yasaman en Monireh Duizendmaal dank voor jullie steun! Yasaman en Monireh zijn strijdvaardiger dan ooit!
