This is a so-called "backing plate" for Alfa Romeo Nord engines with 2 twin-choke carburettors. If you are looking for this part, you are probably very much aware of why this is a necessity when you delete the original Alfa Romeo airfilter set-up. Nevertheless a short explanation: The Alfa Romeo Nord engines were usually, not always, equipped with 2 twin-choke carburettors: Weber DCOE, Dellorto DHLA, Solex DDH and ADDHE and in the later Transaxle models also with the Weber DCOM. These carburettors are connected to the inlet manifold through the rubber carburettor mounts. These mounts provide both vibration- as well as heat- insulation. Inherent to this system is that the carbs can "move" independently to each-other which upsets the balance adjustment. In extreme cases, one carburettor can activate the throttle of the other! Highly unwanted! Alfa Romeo solved this by attaching a sturdy, cast aluminum, airfilter housing to both carbs, thus securing them to eachother. This also serves as the part to which the vertical carb support is attached. When this housing is removed to make room for aftermarket air filters or trumpets, the connection between the carbs is lost, as is the attachement of the carb support. You can now easily remedy this by using this backing plate which attaches to the air filter side of both carbs, thus securing them again and providing attachment for the carb support. Precision-cut from 3 mm thick aluminum this plate perfectly fits the following carburetors perfectly: Weber 40 DCOE Weber 40 DCOM Dellorto 40 DHLA Solex 40 DDH Solex 40 ADDHE Ons Artikel Nummer: backplatearnord This product is priced and sold as a single unit.

18930.035 Nieuwe Weber 38 DGAS carburateur. Dit is een dubbele Weber 38 mm carburateur. Dat betekent dat deze 2 gaskleppen van 38 mm heeft die tegelijk openen als er gas gegeven wordt. Deze carburateur wordt vaak gebruikt op de Ford V6 motoren van 2.3, 2.8 en 3.0 liter cilinderinhoud. De carburateur is voorzien van 2 slangpilaartjes: de eerste voor de aanvoer van benzine, de tweede voor de aansluiting van een retourleiding. Dit betreft een gloednieuw exemplaar uit Weber's eigen productie in Spanje. Deze carburateur is voorzien van een choke-bediening door middel van het koelwater, een zogenaamde "water choke". Eventueel is ombouw naar een electrische of handbediende choke mogelijk. De boutgat afstanden in de voet bedragen 46 x 93 mm. De hoogte van het voetpakkingvlak tot aan het aanligvlak voor het luchtfilter bedraagt 85 mm terwijl de totale hoogte circa 111 mm bedraagt. De gasbuisboringen bedragen, logischerwijs, beide 38 mm. De standaard sproeierbezetting (of "receptuur") is als volgt, voor beide gasbuizen: 27 mm Venturi (Vast) 142 Hoofdsproeier F50 Mengbuis 185 Luchtrem Sproeier 45 Stationairsproeier 50 Acceleratiesproeier Er is een redelijk assortiment sproeiers verkrijgbaar om deze carburateur aan te passen aan uw motor en rijstijl. Kijkt u voor deze sproeiers HIER. Let u op dat er zich tussen de tandwielen een kort messing vacuümpijpje bevindt. Bij sommige Ford motoren wordt dit gebruik voor de zomer/winter stand klep bediening in het luchtfilter. Als u géén gebruikt van die bediening, dan dient u dit pijpje af te dichten.
