Medium to full-bodied, layered and textured, it has a delicate, pure core of fruit, with a tense, linear mid-palate of fine-grained tannins and bright acids that carry through the long, ethereal and saline finish. Crafted from a blend of 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier—all de-stemmed—that was sourced from vines spread across 14 plots in 14 lieux-dits, this terrific contribution to the vintage was matured for 24 months in a combination of barrels (30% new) and wooden tanks.
