Every receipt saves as a file you actually control. 2026-04-25 Coles Groceries 87.40 AUD.jpg. Or your own pattern: vendor first, ISO date, dot-separated, custom tokens — your call. That's the standout feature. Most receipt apps trap your scans behind a search box in someone else's cloud. ReceiptSnap saves them as named JPGs on your device, in a folder you can open, share, sort, and hand to your accountant. You own the files. Pay once. Keep forever. No account. No cloud. No subscription. THE NAMING CONVENTION (THE BIT THAT DIFFERENTIATES) Pick a preset: • ISO-dash: 2026-04-25 Coles Groceries 87.40 AUD.jpg • Dot-separated: 2026.04.25.Coles.Groceries.87.40.jpg • Vendor first: Coles 2026-04-25 87.40 AUD.jpg • US, UK, EU date orders — all built in Or write your own pattern: {date} {vendor} {amount} {category} {currency} — your tokens, your separators, your order. Apply it to your whole archive in one tap if you change your mind. The receipts you keep are the ones you'll need to find later. Filenames you can read at a glance beat any in-app search. WHAT ELSE IT DOES • Snap a paper receipt with the camera, or import an existing photo. • On-device OCR pulls out the date, vendor, total, currency, and the most likely description line. • Confirm or edit the fields in one tap — yellow markers flag anything the OCR couldn't anchor with confidence. • Browse, search, and re-export your archive whenever you need it. NOW INCLUDED (no extra charge) More tools for tax time and bookkeeping, built in and free: • One-tap BAS-quarter and EOFY archive: a ZIP with every receipt plus an index.csv your bookkeeper can drop into Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks. • Embed the parsed fields (vendor, total, GST, ABN, date) as invisible metadata and an optional scannable QR, so every file is self-describing. All in the one price — no subscription. WHY ON-DEVICE MATTERS The receipts you keep are a record of where you've been, what you've bought, and how much you've spent. ReceiptSnap treats that as private by default. The OCR runs on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework. The images live in your iCloud-backed app data — they are never uploaded to a ReceiptSnap server, because there is no ReceiptSnap server. No analytics. No tracking. No ad SDKs. No "share for a discount". No business tier we're trying to upsell you to.
