On the Cut is the navigation and journey-planning app for the England and Wales waterways — built for narrowboaters, liveaboards and hire-boat crews alike. Plan a route anywhere on the connected canal network and get a realistic journey time that actually counts the locks and tunnels along the way, not just the distance. Set your boat's cruising speed and dimensions and the estimate adjusts to you. When you're ready to set off, follow clear turn-by-turn navigation that keeps you on the cut. EVERY LOCK AND SERVICE ON THE MAP See exactly what's ahead. On the Cut shows locks, winding holes, water points and sanitary stations right on the map, so you always know where you can turn, fill the tank, empty the loo or work through a flight. Tap any point for details, and use the layers button to show only what you need. Find your nearest services and navigate straight to them.
