Captain Alshamrani joined Saudi Aramco’s Aviation department in November of 1988 and, after a five-year tenure, was sponsored to attend an aviation training program at the University of North Dakota and successfully graduated in June of 1995 to start his pilot career with Saudi Aramco. Captain Alshamrani has served as a pilot for more than twenty-seven years, with over 5,000 flight hours. Captain Alshamrani also served as Head of Training and Standards, GSOD Superintendent, Head of Safety and Compliance Unit and finally as Helicopter Chief Pilot since 2014.
