The conservation of momentum is a fundamental law of physics which states that the momentum of a system is constant if there are no external forces acting on the system. It is embodied in Newton's first law (the law of inertia).
In Newtonian mechanics, linear momentum, translational momentum, or simply momentum (plural: momenta) is the product of the mass and velocity of an object. It is a three-dimensional vector quantity, possessing both magnitude and direction. If m is an object's mass and v is the velocity (also a vector), then the momentum is given by:
p = m * v
If the velocities of the masses are u_1 and u_2 before the interaction, and afterwards they are v_1 and v_2, then:
m1u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2
Where:
m1: object mass 1, in Kg
u1: object 1 initial velocity, in m/s
v1: object 1 final velocity, in m/s
m2: object mass 2, in Kg
u2: object 2 initial velocity, in m/s
v2: object 2 final velocity, in m/s

Proportions Calculator is a simple tool for calculating proportions. Just enter any three values and the program will find the fourth. Use it for resizing images and videos, finding tip amounts, calculating sales tax, scaling recipes, converting currency, or anything where proportions are used.
Features
* Any value can be the unknown
* Each entry can be cleared individually
* All entries can be cleared at one time
This App calculates proportions (direct or indirect), also known as "rule of three" by entering three known values and hitting "Calculate". The App will calculate the missing value for you!
A history of calculated values is kept and can be managed within the App.
