SingAppParkinsons app analytics for January 15

SingApp Parkinson's - a singing App for people living with Parkinson's (PLWP) co-created with the Parkinson's community. Parkinson's is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. Currently, over 10 million people have been diagnosed with Parkinson's and this number is expected to double by 2050. 95 percent of people with Parkinson's experience vocal issues including monotone, quietness, breathiness and lack of clarity. Research has found that singing benefits PLWPs’ voices. There are already many singing for Parkinson’s groups across the world. The songs and exercises in this app have been co-designed with PLWP to provide fun and creative daily strength-building workouts for the voice to complement in-person singing classes and give opportunities to those unable to access these classes. The content of the app has been considered in consultation with allied health professionals including speech-language therapists, however, it is not a replacement for speech therapy. The app contains exercises to improve physical wellbeing, breathing, articulation, sound quality, and catchy songs. There are learning tracks and instructions to guide you through the programme and 5, 10 and 15 minute workouts that you can do while making a cup of tea.
