Required Permissions Permission: FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC Purpose: Our app is a real-time messaging platform based on the Matrix protocol. This permission ensures reliable message synchronization between the user's device and our servers. Use Cases: Real-time Message Sync - Continuously syncs new messages, read receipts, and typing indicators. Ensures messages are delivered promptly even when the app is minimized. Initial Sync After Login - Fetches complete conversation history and room memberships. May take several minutes for accounts with extensive chat history. Offline Message Queue - Messages sent while offline are queued and reliably delivered once connectivity is restored. User Experience: Shows "Initial Sync…" notification during sync, disappears when complete. Permission: FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION Purpose: Enables Live Location Sharing feature, allowing users to share real-time location with conversation participants.
