iTrust Finance Ltd, initially established as Imaan Microfinance and later rebranded as Imaan Finance, is a Tier 2 financial services provider under the regulation of the Bank of Tanzania. It commenced operations as a microfinance institution specializing in Shariah-compliant financial solutions. Founded in October 2013, the company underwent a name change to iTrust Finance Limited in January 2023. Additionally, iTrust Finance Limited holds licenses as an investment firm from the Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA) in Tanzania. These licenses allow it to function as a Broker, Fund Manager, and Investment Advisor. During its tenure as Imaan Finance, the company introduced Sukuk bond issuance in Tanzania, a pioneering effort in the country. To date, iTrust Finance Limited has successfully issued eight Sukuk bonds through private placements. These offerings were consistently oversubscribed, with one instance achieving full subscription.
