It’s small in the scheme of things. Even when you turn 25, it may be a milestone, but you’re still young in terms of your life expectancy.  However, 25 years of supporting vulnerable populations in Central Texas communities represents no small measure of service. Our work in walking alongside individuals and families in the midst of crisis makes a long-lasting impact, not only on those we serve, but also on our community as a whole.  A short-term gift to a family unable to make ends meet this month does more than offer temporary relief. It opens the door for us to build a relationship and find long-term solutions that can put that family on track to living a life of self-sufficiency and dignity. For 25 years, Catholic Charities of Central Texas has provided practical but necessary support to anyone in need. That’s a quarter-century of impact; a lifeline for future generations.  That’s worth celebrating because charity is not cheap. Generous financial contributions allow us to cover that costly summer electric bill, get homeless veterans off the streets, or help a family who lost their home in a disaster.
