Today, we're asking you to help us build the next one. The Challenge Black lawyers have represented 5% of the legal profession for a little over a decade. The SFFA decision has reshaped how institutions think about diversity. Federal student loan programs have been restructured. And across Big Law and the corporate sector, the giving calculus has shifted — with dollars that once supported the pipeline now redirected or withdrawn entirely. The bridges we've built are under real threat, and in need of maintenance. But NBLSA has never retreated from a challenge. Even in a moment of contraction, we are choosing growth. This campaign is how we do it. Where Your Money Goes We believe donors deserve to know exactly where their contributions land. Every dollar raised through this campaign is allocated to two specific, trackable purposes: 50% Financial Infrastructure NBLSA is completing its first organizational audit in 58 years and hiring a dedicated accountant for ongoing financial management. For most of our history, the organization's finances have been managed entirely by rotating student leadership — talented, committed people who nonetheless cycle out every year. The audit establishes a verified financial baseline.
