A navigation guide for boating enthusiasts eager to explore Italy's longest river, its landscapes, flavors, and local culture - journeying through the UNESCO Biosphere Reserves from the Ticino to the Po Grande and down to the Po Delta. This app is a valuable tool for those approaching the Po River for the first time, helping them understand and navigate it safely, as well as for experienced boaters looking to discover new routes and contribute to improving the app by submitting useful reports. This project aims to raise awareness about the Po River, enhancing and promoting its sustainable use while improving hospitality services for all boating enthusiasts, in full respect of the environment and current regulations. Il Portolano del Po was developed within the MAB UNESCO Po Grande Reserve through the collaboration between the Po River Basin District Authority (AdBPo) and the Interregional Agency for the Po River (AIPO), with the valuable contribution of Bruno Censi and the Venice Motorboat Association, along with the essential technical and graphic support of ARTernative srl. What this navigation guide includes: - Information on available tourist docking points: their locations, how to approach them, and the services they offer (slipways, fuel stations, potable water, restrooms, parking, and more). - Notes on points of interest, natural areas along the Po, nearby restaurants, and accommodations. - Directions for reaching the next docking point, allowing users to safely follow the navigable waterway via the app while always paying attention to local signage. Remember: The captain is solely responsible for maneuvering and navigating the vessel! The app also provides useful references to navigation regulations and the main signage encountered along the Po. For experienced Po River boaters, the app offers the possibility to report critical issues or points of interest along the route, contributing to the app's improvement while fostering direct communication between users and relevant authorities.
