Photologic

Photologic is a dedicated app that allows users (doctors and nurses) to record, store and view patient photos from a personal mobile device in a secure and GDPR compliant manner. The app is intuitive and easy to use. In the app, the patient is registered (by a secretary, nurse or doctor) and gives a multilayered consent for the use and storage of the images. Images are “tagged” with predefined metadata such as sex, anatomical location, diagnosis and procedure. The Taxonomy has been developed specifically for plastic surgery and will be expanded to include all relevant medical specialties. Image recording is intuitive and straight forward. Photos are automatically transferred to the server and all data deleted from the device. Users can view images, perform searches, statistical analyses and download images depending on patient’s consent from a PC or Mac. Users working together within the same cluster (hospital or clinic) can view each other’s images. The ease of use will not only improve morale and save time. It offers hospitals and clinics alike a range of positive outcomes, essential to modern healthcare: · Increased departmental efficiency by reducing the work associated recording and tagging. · Better patient information through access to better, more relevant images (similarity). · Improved treatment quality as a natural consequence of increased learning, pier-to-pier inspiration and easy outcome comparison. · Increase research potential by making data available across departments/centers/hospitals. · Easy cross referencing through high data quality and consistency, allows for better training and learning. · Build trust and satisfaction by making it easy for the patient to give, modify and withdraw consents in accordance with GDPR.
