What is an EPR? The electronic patient record (EPR) is a collection of your personal documents containing treatment-related information in digital form. This includes, for example, a hospital discharge report, a nursing report from home care services (Spitex), a medication list, X-rays, or your vaccination card. Thanks to the EPR, these documents are available and can be accessed by you at any time. The medical information in the EPD belongs to you. You decide which healthcare professionals you want to share this information with. What are the Benefits of an EPR? Control over your dossier You determine who, besides yourself, can view your documents. This way, you can set up and manage your EPD according to your current needs at any time. Immediately available in an emergency In a medical emergency, someone may be unconscious or unresponsive. With the EPR, all relevant information is immediately available in such moments.
