Tesfaye Urgessa is an Ethiopian artist who creates compositions inspired by Ethiopian iconography and classical art which interact with socio-political and contemporary issues. The main focus of his canvases are imperfect and fragmented figures. Those are fascinating mirrors to our reality which point out human fragility and vulnerability.
